Spring is in the air. For a moment at least it felt like it was getting warmer. Still, it’s not long off and as soon as we are on the mats we can create our own heat anyway.
Let’s see whats happening this month.

MARCH WOMEN’S CIRCLE
Our next circle is on Friday 24th March from 7pm.
Our beautiful community has already been claiming their spaces.

HANDSTAND WORKSHOP
Join Paul Duddy & Brazilarte Academy for HANDSTAND WORKSHOP.
WHEN: Saturday 25th March 2023
TIME: 2pm - 4pm
Suitable for all abilities - 16+
Paul will guide us through the tools and tricks to improving our handstand.
This workshop is suitable for anyone who has started their handstand journey (If you are able to kick up against a wall, or free standing kick up.) and for experienced hand balancers who would like to level up.
Paul, a professional personal trainer and calisthenics athlete, has been pushing his own limits to defy gravity. He is now ready to share what he has learnt with the world.
Join us in inversion and learn new skills.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
On Saturday 11th March we would like you to invite your female friends to come and celebrate International Women’s Day at Brazilarte Academy and join us for an empowering Capoeira session from 12pm.
All you need to do is drop me an email and I’ll get them booked in for FREE.

CAPOEIRA MUSIC SESSION
We would like to introduce Capoeira Music session’s once a month. An opportunity to bring your instruments and practice them whilst learning the lyrics to some familiar and new songs.
It won’t be a lesson, more or a jam, but we will be on hand to help you out.
The first Capoeira music session will be Saturday 18th March from 1.30pm.
You can book your free place on our live timetable.
We can’t wait to grow our Capoeira orchestra with you all.

BRAZILARTE ART SCHOOL
Brazilarte Art School is making a come back. We launched this project before the pandemic and it feels like a good time to bring it back.
But before we decide it’s format, we’d like to know what you would like. Would you prefer:
A workshop format where I teach different skills and practices.
An open art session where you just rock up and practice what you’d like?
If you could send me a text or email with your preference would be great.

BRAZILARTE CAMP 2023
Last year a group of us went for a mini camping holiday.
We had such a great time we decided that this year we would make Brazilarte Camp official and open it to everyone.
The date is 31st July till 6th August at Rushbanks Campsite on the Essex Suffolk border. It’s set on a beautiful river for swimming, canoeing and stand up. (Unfortunately no pets allowed and no hook up.) The facilities are simple but perfect.
We need a show of hands to see if it is better to make a group booking or whether or not we all book individually. This will depend on how many there are of us and what Rushbanks conditions are.
